We are excited to announce the launch of our new community engagement initiative, designed to strengthen connections between diverse communities across Belgium. This initiative will include a series of cultural exchange events, neighborhood gatherings, and collaborative projects that bring together people from different backgrounds and neighborhoods. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for interaction, understanding, and cooperation among community members. We believe that strong communities are built through shared experiences and genuine connections, and this initiative represents our commitment to fostering those bonds.
CommunityAs we look back on 2025, we are proud of the impact G EVENTS ASBL has achieved this year. Our team organized over 15 cultural events, 8 sports competitions, and 12 educational workshops, reaching more than 5,000 participants across Belgium. We distributed 5 scholarships to talented individuals, partnered with 10 organizations to expand our reach, and welcomed 50 new volunteers to our team. These numbers represent real lives touched, real connections made, and real communities strengthened. We are grateful to all our supporters, partners, and participants who made these achievements possible.
Impact ReportOur annual cultural festival, held in Schaarbeek, attracted a record number of attendees this year. The event featured performances from 12 artists, exhibitions from 8 local artists, and workshops for families and children. The festival celebrated the rich cultural diversity of our community and provided a platform for artists and cultural organizations to showcase their work. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the opportunity to experience diverse cultural traditions in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We are already planning next year's festival and look forward to building on this success.
EventsG EVENTS ASBL has established new partnerships with three local schools in the Brussels-Capital Region to expand our youth-focused programs. These partnerships will allow us to offer after-school cultural workshops, sports activities, and educational enrichment programs to students in underserved communities. The programs are designed to complement academic learning, develop creative skills, and provide young people with positive recreational opportunities. We are committed to investing in the next generation and believe that every young person deserves access to quality cultural and educational experiences regardless of their background.
YouthWe are pleased to announce that applications for our 2026 scholarship program are now open. This year, we are offering scholarships to students and young professionals who demonstrate outstanding achievement and commitment to their communities. The scholarship program supports individuals in pursuing educational and professional goals that align with our mission of community enrichment through culture, sports, and education. ScholarshipsOur summer sports tournament brought together over 200 participants from communities across Belgium for a day of friendly competition, physical activity, and community building. The tournament featured football, basketball, and volleyball competitions for different age groups, with an emphasis on fair play, teamwork, and fun. Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage in physical activity, meet new people, and experience the positive energy of community sports. The event also included health and wellness workshops, promoting the importance of regular physical activity for overall wellbeing.
